About Bounteous Farms
The idea for Bounteous Farms was first ignited when our founder's home was bursting at the seams with visitors each Fall. During the last two weeks of June friends and family would drive hundreds of miles to our founders’ home in Wisconsin just to pick fresh cherries from the wide expanse of U-pick orchards that blanket the region in that area. Their guests would fill multiple bushel baskets full of the perfectly sweet cherries then drive back home to turn their harvests into pie filling, fruit leather or pies while their produce was still at its peak. This got our founders thinking. Was there a better way to preserve those cherries? Could the taste, color and smell of those bounteous harvests last an extra year — an extra thirty years?
That question led to the inevitable answer of freeze-drying. Through the process of freeze-drying cherry season, and any other harvest season could literally be frozen in time. Of course, our founders knew from personal experience that picking fruit at its peak is critical to the quality and taste of the end product, so they have always made it a priority to select only food ready for harvest. That is why Bounteous Farms partners with growers from around the globe in order to provide the best freeze-dried fruits and vegetables possible. Our food is conscientiously grown, rigorously tested, and carefully preserved.
